Halloween Intestines

Freak out your friends with our twisted "Halloween Intestines" stuffed with a delicious pork, chorizo and sundried tomato filling.

What you’ll need

1kg pork mince

2 chorizo sausage, finely chopped

1 brown onion, diced

3 clove garlic, minced

1/3 cup sundried tomatoes, chopped

2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 eggs

2 sheets puff pastry

Chili jam to serve

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Combine mince, chorizo, onion, garlic, sundried tomatoes, parsley, breadcrumbs, 1 egg, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Line a large tray with baking paper. Lay 2 squares of pastry along bottom of baking tray.
  4. Spoon pork mixture onto the pastry and form into a swirly ‘intestine shape’. Cover pork mixture with more puff pastry. Press pastry sheets together around the pork mixture.
  5. Using a knife, cut away excess pastry from around the sausage mixture so that it starts to look like intestines.
  6. Whisk remaining egg and brush the mixture onto the top of the sausage roll intestine.
  7. Place tray in oven for 30 mins or until golden ad crispy.
  8. Drizzle with chili jam 'blood' and serve immediately.
