Bacon & Nutella Stuffed French Toast

To celebrate Kingaroy's Bacon Festival 2018, we have put together 7 of our all time favourite bacon recipes!

Number 2 - Bacon & Nutella Stuffed French Toast! Yummmm

What you’ll need

8 x rashers thick cut bacon, cooked until crispy

8 x slices of sourdough

4 Tbsp. of Nutella

3 eggs, whisked

½ cup thick cream

½ cup milk

1 Tbsp. Dark brown sugar

¼ tsp. cinnamon

Pinch of salt

2 Tbsp. butter

Maple syrup to serve

Ice cream to serve

 

 

 

How to make it

Spread on side of the sourdough with Nutella and place 2 rashers of bacon on top, followed by another slice of sourdough. Repeat this process until you have 4 sandwiches.

Combine eggs, cream, milk sugar, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.

Place a pan over medium heat and melt butter.

Place each sandwich in the egg mixture and allow to soak for 1 min. remove from egg mixture and place in pan. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Repeat with each sandwich.  

Remove and serve with maple syrup and ice-cream.
